DEPOSIT SYSTEM

The borrower, regardless of being a student, will be asked to pay a deposit on conclusion of the contract. This deposit shall be paid via bank transfer (24 hours ahead) before picking up the materials. The maximum price is 500 euros. However, if more equipment is damaged or lost than covered by the deposit, an extra invoice will be drawn up afterwards and will have to be paid by the borrower.

The deposit will be fully refunded by the lender if the equipment: 

Is returned to LOKO on time

Is still in the same condition as at the time of collection

If your 'kring'/free association has a fixed deposit with LOKO, no additional deposit needs to be paid,

Associations not recognised by LOKO, will be charged a rental price of 10% of the deposit. This can be maximum 50 euros.


FIXED DEPOSIT SYSTEM CHANGES

What will change?
From now on, we work with a contract to reaffirm the fixed deposit every year. At the beginning of each academic year, LOKO will send you a new contract. So you no longer have to ask for renewal yourself. 
The fees will also change. From now on the standard fixed deposit will be €300. The fixed deposit of €100 disappears. The fixed deposit of €500 also disappears, unless your kring/association regularly uses the van of the CLD via LOKO. If that is the case, your association can take out a fixed "van deposit" of €500 instead of €300. 
(Note: If you don't want the van deposit but still want to borrow the van once or twice a year, just make a one-time payment of an extra €200 to LOKO as a van deposit, which you will get back afterwards.)

What should we do now?
"I have no fixed deposit with LOKO rental service, and I don't need one."
Just ignore this email!

"I do not have a fixed deposit with the LOKO rental service, but I want to request one." 
Fill out the attached contract and send it back to beheer@loko.be. Deposit €300 to BE22 0011 4801 9147 stating "fixed deposit LOKO ULD 2324". If you want a van deposit of €500, please let  beheer@loko.be know. Complete the attached contract and forward it back to  beheer@loko.be. Deposit €500 to BE22 0011 4801 9147 stating "fixed deposit LOKO ULD 2324".

"I already have a fixed deposit with LOKO of €100."
- Would you like to top up the fixed deposit to €300? Fill out the attached contract and send it back to  beheer@loko.be. Then deposit €200 to BE22 0011 4801 9147 with the message "fixed deposit LOKO ULD 2324".   
- Would you rather get the €100 back and then deposit €300? Let  beheer@loko.be know and we'll make it happen!
- Do you want a van deposit of €500? Let  beheer@loko.be know, fill out the attached contract and send it back to  beheer@loko.be. Then deposit €400 to BE22 0011 4801 9147 saying "fixed deposit LOKO ULD 2324".

"I already have a fixed deposit with LOKO of €500."
- Would you like a standard deposit of €300? Let  beheer@loko.be know and we will refund you €200. Please also fill out the attached contract and send it back to  beheer@loko.be
- Would you like to keep a deposit of €500 as a van deposit? Let  beheer@loko.be know, fill out the attached contract and send it back to beheer@loko.be.
